Visit Victoria launches inspirational tourist experiences

Home to over 30 per cent of Australia’s native species, Victoria is the perfect destination for inspirational tourist experiences that benefit nature.

Following the news that Australia’s borders are beginning to reopen, Visit Victoria has today launched a Good Natured Victoria initiative, offering international visitors purpose-driven tourism experiences that make a positive impact before and during their visit.

The campaign encourages eco-loving Brits to donate to five different projects before coming out to Australia to take part in them personally.

These include swimming with wild seals and dolphins while investing in restoring the Great Southern Reef; planting koala trees on a koala recovery experience; nature walks in the Great Ocean Road to see local wildlife; supporting Aboriginal art and culture; and adopting a penguin on Phillip Island.

“Melbourne and Victoria boast a wonderful array of inspiring sustainable, conservation and community-driven visitor experiences often combined with our iconic nature and wildlife assets,” said Brendan McClements, Visit Victoria CEO.

“Good Natured Victoria aims to highlight some of our purpose-driven tourism partners. We would like to encourage Brits to make a real difference by engaging with these inspirational projects, and to come and see them in person when they visit Victoria soon.”
