Following the news that the US will reopen to international travel in early November, G Adventures will launch 13 new tours in the country from spring 2022.
The additional tours will more than double the G Adventures offering in the US, bringing a total of 28 trip options to global travellers.
The new, small-group trips prioritise local communities, with Indigenous-led experiences in focus. These include jeep tours of Monument Valley with Indigenous guides, and a stop at community tourism project Navajo Nation for food truck tacos.
Guests are also secured access to sites that are difficult to get tickets to this year, like Antelope Canyon – also led by a guide from Navajo Nation.
Examples of the new United States of Adventure collection of tours include:
- Best of Utah and Arizona National Parks – This seven-day trip starts and ends in Las Vegas. Travellers will hike through Bryce Canyon’s hoodoos, marvel at the Navajo Sandstone giants of Zion, see the Grand Canyon, set out on a Navajo-guided jeep tour in Monument Valley and visit the Native Grill (a family-owned food truck in the Navajo Nation).
- Best of California – Starting in Las Vegas and ending in Los Angeles, you’ll hike in Death Valley, visit the tall trees of Sequoia National Park and take in the views of Yosemite National Park. A road-trip down Highway 1 from San Francisco to Los Angeles completes the Cali-journey, with stops in Monterey and Santa Maria. Priced from £1,849pp.
- USA Road Trip – Joshua Tree and the Southwest Parks – Hike through four national parks including Zion and Joshua Tree, peer down into the Grand Canyon, road trip along Route 66, camp and stargaze on Lake Powell’s shores. Accommodation is a mix of glamping, motels and camping.
G Adventures is also making the most of the upcoming winter season in Europe, by launching a new series of Christmas Market Tours in Germany and Austria.
