Initiative to help independent travel agents become ‘E-Shot Hotshots’
Jet2Holidays have unveiled a competition and initiative to assist travel agents in the changing landscape of buying habits.
Launched on Monday (August 16), Jet2Holidays will be offering six prizes in their new initiative set to help independent travel agents to become ‘E-Shot Hotshots’. Agencies will be equipped with tools to help better communicate with customers through e-shots, while also being given the chance to win one of six prizes.
The competition is designed to help agents build and maintain relationships with their customers, grow brand awareness, capture data, and showcase what Jet2 and Jet2Holidays offer.
Prizes up for grabs include shop signage, agency website, paid social media campaign, radio advert, outdoor advertising and a Jet2Holidays office refit. The competition will be running until September 16, with two prizes available for winning agents each week.
Alan Cross, head of trade at Jet2holidays, said: “Over the last 18 months, buying habits have changed with more of us now shopping online and looking to social media for inspiration. That is why it is so important for independent travel agents to equip themselves with the marketing tools to attract customers and sell package holidays to drive business growth.
“With international travel opening up, now is the time for agency partners to learn about the power of an email, as the opportunity to boost sales through E-shots is huge. We are always looking for new ways to help agents and this competition is another example of our unique and successful Partners2Success strategy in action. We look forward to seeing our agency partners learning new skills and entering our unmissable E-Shot Hotshot competition.”
The competition is the latest in a series of joint activities and initiatives run by Jet2Holidays for agents, which has included training sessions and virtual programmes.
To be part of the competition, agents should sign up to their database by messaging firstname.lastname@example.org by September 12.
Once agents have signed up, they will be sent a specially-made booklet detailing the importance of e-shots and their effectiveness as a marketing tool.
The booklet includes advice and guidance on creating QR codes, growing a database, creating inspiring content, building e-shots and adding sign up forms to social media.
