APT has responded to pent-up demand for travel by releasing a selection of its 2022 ‘Bucket List Trips’ to Canada, Australia and New Zealand ahead of schedule.
The operator usually launches its long-haul operations later in the year, but with more customers actively planning post-pandemic adventures for next year, APT has broken tradition to unveil a collection of its trips for 2022.
APT’s UK managing director, Paul Melinis, said: “Having been unable to travel for the past 12 months, our customers are desperate to secure an extraordinary adventure in 2022, and to make up for a year of lost holidays. Enquiries and bookings for our longer-haul escorted tours are rising rapidly. Guided travel is clearly a popular choice in a Covid-19 world because of the reassurance that this travel style offers. Having a professional APT or Travelmarvel Tour Director to oversee guest well-being, as well as knowing that the strictest standards of hygiene are being upheld throughout the trip, and that APT has done due diligence with all of our partner hotels, restaurants and attractions, gives greater peace of mind when compared to travelling independently.”
APT’s findings are mirrored by Silver Travel Adviser’s 2021 report, which revealed that 79 per cent of existing guests will take an overseas escorted tour again, and 72 per cent of those who have never taken a guided holiday before are considering one.
The Bucket List Trips include the 13-day ‘Passage Through the Rockies‘ from Calgary to Victoria (from £3,345 per person); the 20-day ‘Rockies Explorer and Alaska Cruise‘, round-trip from Vancouver (from £6,995pp); the 15-day ‘Treasures of Australia’ from Sydney to Melbourne (from £3,945pp); and the luxury 20-day ‘New Zealand Wonderland‘ from Auckland to Christchurch (from £4,695pp).
