British Airways to maintain reduced service out of Heathrow
British Airways has suspended all flights out of Gatwick because of a lack of demand in the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic.
“Due to the considerable restrictions and challenging market environment, like many other airlines, we will temporarily suspend our flying schedule at Gatwick,” the airline said in a statement reported by the BBC.
EasyJet grounded its fleet yesterday. BA will continue to operate a reduced service out of Heathrow.
Shares in the BA’s parent company, IAG, have more than halved since the beginning of March.
