G Adventures launches Change Makers Challenge

Specialist operator gives agents chance to win place at global event

G Adventures, the small group tour operator, has launched its largest ever travel agent incentive.

The programme, which is called the ‘Change Makers Challenge’, aims to reward agents that focus on “changing people’s lives through travel”.

The incentive runs through to March 31, 2019, ending with the Change Makers Summit, which will see more than 100 agents from the UK & Ireland, Central Europe, Canada, the United States, and Australia & New Zealand brought to a mystery destination.

Agents will stay at the summit for a week, learning more about the impact of responsible travel on local communities, as well as visiting destinations and building product knowledge. Bruce Poon Tip, the founder of G Adventures, will be at the summit on the final day where agents will also be treated to a party.

David Green, vice president commercial, at G Adventures, said: “At G Adventures, we change the lives of our travellers when they choose to explore the world with us and, as a social enterprise, we change the lives of local people in the destinations to which we travel. We’re asking our agents to become ‘Change Makers’ – to realise the impact they can have, and to recognise why our world deserves more of them, and their customers, in it.”

Details of the incentive programme can be found here but in a statement the company said that agents would receive one entry per ‘life changed’ (trip sold). G Adventures will also be giving out ‘random act of G’ swag packs and vouchers throughout the entry period. Agents should look out for surprise challenges and awards along the way, which could help them secure an extra entry to attend.

The Change Makers Challenge runs from October 01, 2018 to March 31, 2019.
