Members of staff at Barrhead Travel’s Glasgow store took part in a ‘Power to the Pedal’ challenge, which saw them raise £1,300 for charity.
The day-long event saw staff take it in turns to pedal on an exercise bike in the shop window and take part in health and fitness consultations with staff from a nearby gym, who loaned the bike for the day.
The money will go towards their target sum of £23,000 for 2018, which will be donated to Just a Drop – a charitable organisation that brings clean, sustainable water and sanitation to poor communities around the world.
The funds raised by the Scottish agency will support the Buwambo Health Centre in Uganda.
Other agencies in the chain have also been fundraising to collectively hit the target.
