Company stays in Dorking but moves into dynamic new office, writes Jill Sayles.
Kuoni is now based at the office which has become the headquarters for DER Touristik UK.
It houses 241 Der Touristik UK staff as well as being the main training and development base for the Kuoni retail team and travel agent partners.
Derek Jones, CEO of DER Touristik UK (pictured main), said: “This is day one of a new era for the business as part of the DER Touristik group. We’ve designed the new office to be a fun, dynamic and inspiring space to work, learn and develop.”
“The group is ambitious and committed to expanding its UK business. We’ve created a space that reflects that ambition; we have growth in mind as we look to the future.”
“Our mission from the outset was to involve our team in the move and incorporate some of their ideas into the new designs. We had some great practical suggestions – and an equal measure of wild and wonderful requests!”
The creative work space includes a brightly coloured tuk-tuk in the reception area, graffiti and timber walls, red telephone boxes, a large café and deli bar (with pool table) and central courtyard for events and meetings.
It is named Touristik House after the firm’s parent company and is located on Station Road. Kuoni occupied its previous site on Deepdene Avenue in Dorking since 1974.
